As seen in the November issue of New Jersey Monthly magazine:
Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Joshua Rovner treats patients suffering from neck and back pain, which afflict most Americans at some point in their lives. “We want to help people who have first tried physical therapy, pain management and other noninvasive treatments and are seeking a permanent solution,” he says. “That’s when spine surgery can be beneficial.” With a fellowship from the world-famous Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, Dr. Rovner is trained to perform a broad spectrum of techniques, including fusion, discectomy, disc replacement and complex revision surgeries. He frequently uses stem cell treatments during procedures to improve healing. Many of his surgeries are minimally invasive and performed in an outpatient setting.
Although his practice is growing through consistently positive word of mouth, Dr. Rovner intends to keep it small enough to continue his ultrapersonalized approach to every case. A compassionate and conservative surgeon, he believes in operating only when it is the only solution and can produce optimum results.
Dr. Rovner enjoys the intellectual challenge and precise surgical skills required by his specialty. “My profession offers the potential to drastically improve someone’s quality of life,” he says. “People who couldn’t sit or walk comfortably return to tell me they are pain-free and back at work. That’s extremely satisfying.”
