Injury Prevention
In all sports there are injuries. At times they are accidental and unavoidable, but there are many that can be prevented. Injuries affecting the knees, ankles, hips, shoulders, and elbows can all be prevented with rehabilitation. Rehabilitation at Progressive Spine & Joint Center is approached at a functional standpoint. Dr. Vickery will functionally screen each athlete to find restrictions in joints and soft tissues as well as muscular imbalances that may lead to injury. Once identified, the athlete will be given the appropriate treatment and exercises that pertain to and mimic the actions of their sport. |
